A comprehensive anthology of poems by the currently most influential Mexican poet, En la entraña del tiempo (In Time’s Core) collects Bracho’s carefully selected pieces from all of her eight published poetry books during 1977–2010, and is well-presented bilingually in original Spanish and traditional-character Chinese. The collection illustrates the neo-Baroque writing style originated from contemporary Latin America which represents an escape from the intrusion of political discourse in exchange for more genuine, diversified poetic creation. This book also serves as a tribute to the visiting poet at the sixth annual literary event, “International Poets in Hong Kong,” in autumn 2015.

"Coral Bracho is a major poet of the Neo-Baroque writing from Latin America. The long list of poetry awards and her nationality may not fully reflect her influence on contemporary Latin American poetry. Neo-Baroque poets push the limit of what can be done with poetic language and pose such difficulties in their writings so as to force you to think outside the conventional political context. Bracho’s poetry is itself a reflection upon poetic language. Its layered imagery, shifting musicality and elaborate articulation contribute to a labyrinthine space of art that demands for readerly patience and promises rewards for your arduous reading."
