Duncan Poupard

Translator: Duncan Poupard Duncan Poupard developed a fascination with China while studying for a history degree at the University of York. He has spent the last ten years immersing himself in the study of China and its languages, and obtained an MA in Sinology from the School of African and Oriental Studies in London. During this time he has travelled widely throughout China, working as a translator and news correspondent. He currently lives in Hong Kong, where he teaches Chinese-English translation at the Chinese University of Hong Kong and studies for a PhD in translation from the University of Hong Kong.
