This film narrates how villagers from northwest Yunnan explore a great river in the Three Parallel Rivers region with the help of conservation organization. By doing the interviews, they discover the impact economic development, especially the ongoing hydroelectric station, will have on their lives.

中國政府要在瀾滄江、怒江修建水電站，當地居民的生活狀況會發生了什麼樣的轉變呢？田壩村為修建漫灣電站，大量移民，但是補助很少，由於土地滑坡，村民搬了三次家，沒田沒地的一些居民靠垃圾生活，一天只有2毛錢的收入。田壩村人民多次向上反映情況，可是兩年過去了，被迫移民的農民的生活仍舊沒有得到改善。
