GILLIAN BICKLEY is the biographer of Frederick Stewart. She has been studying and publishing well-received scholarly books and academic articles on 19th century Hong Kong history for well over twenty years. She has also been actively engaged in presenting her material to the general public through talks, historical walks, radio interviews and media feature articles. Her work is now additionally being used as a resource by heritage groups.
