Mohammed Bennis is one of the most important poets of modern Arabic poetry. He is the author of more than thirty titles of poetry, prose, essays, and translations. Published translations of his poetry collections and books have appeared in various languages including French, Spanish, Italian, Turkish, Macedonian and German. He has also translated French works into Arabic including A Throw of the Dice: Poems of Stéphane Mallarmé (2007).
